The manager’s knees buckled. Daniel Whitmore wasn’t just the owner; he was a ruthless billionaire known for destroying careers on a whim.

He stared dead at the pale manager.

And I just found your rat. He paid the line cook to slip a known allergen into your son’s meal to create a distraction.”
The manager turned ghost-white and bolted for the front exit.
“Don’t bother,” Ethan said flatly into the phone. “Send them in.”
The heavy glass doors flew open, and three uniformed police officers stormed the lobby, immediately tackling the manager to the brown tile floor.
Ethan calmly lowered his phone, picked up his yellow sponge, and looked back at the billionaire.
“Now, about that reward. I hear you have a sudden vacancy for a general manager.”
