LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Around 60 feet above Las Vegas, passengers will step into their summoned Tesla before being whisked through Elon Musk’s Boring Co. Vegas Loop system using the former monorail track — a future that leaders are envisioning.
Steve Hill, Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority CEO and president, took questions from the media during a ceremony at the Fontainebleau Las Vegas on Tuesday and provided an update on plans for the monorail.

“Once the trains wear out, once the system is no longer available to us, we want to use the infrastructure,” Hill said. “We would take the track itself off those stanchions and put a two-lane road on top.”
